6 Thou wilt prolong the king's life: andhis years as many generations.
7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, whichmay preserve him.
8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
1 <<To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David.>> Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him comethmy salvation.
2 He only ismy rock and my salvation; he ismy defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing
wall shall ye be, and asa tottering fence.
4 They only consult to cast himdown from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with
their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation isfrom him.
6 He only ismy rock and my salvation: he ismy defence; I shall not be moved.
7 In God ismy salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, andmy refuge, isin God.
8 Trust in him at all times; yepeople, pour out your heart before him: God isa refuge for us.
Selah.
9 Surely men of low degree arevanity, andmen of high degree area lie: to be laid in the
balance, they arealtogether lighterthan vanity.
10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your
heart upon them.
11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongethunto God.
12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongethmercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his
work.
1 <<A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.>> O God, thou artmy God; early
will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so asI have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy lovingkindness isbetter than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as withmarrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise theewith
joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, andmeditate on thee in the nightwatches.
7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
9 But those thatseek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth
of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
1 <<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my
life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of
iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, andbend their bows to shoottheir arrows, evenbitter
words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves inan evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they
say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thoughtof
every one of them, and the heart, isdeep.
7 But God shall shoot at them withan arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee
away.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of
his doing.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart
shall glory.
1 <<To the chief Musician, A Psalm andSong of David.>> Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion:
and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
3 Iniquities prevail against me: as forour transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
4 Blessed is the man whomthou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, thathe may dwell
in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, evenof thy holy temple.
5 Byterrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who artthe
confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off uponthe sea:
6 Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; beinggirded with power:
7 Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
8 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the
outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God,
whichis full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest
it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.
11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
12 They drop uponthe pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they
shout for joy, they also sing.
1 <<To the chief Musician, A Song orPsalm.>> Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou inthy works! through the greatness of thy power shall
thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing tothy name. Selah.
5 Come and see the works of God: he isterrible in hisdoing toward the children of men.
6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in
him.
7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt
themselves. Selah.
8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but
thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer
bullocks with goats. Selah.
16 Come andhear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19 Butverily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed beGod, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
1 <<To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm orSong.>> God be merciful unto us, and bless
us; andcause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and
govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Thenshall the earth yield her increase; andGod, evenour own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
1 <<To the chief Musician, A Psalm orSong of David.>> Let God arise, let his enemies be
scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, sodrive themaway: as wax melteth before the fire, solet the
wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name
JAH, and rejoice before him.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, isGod in his holy habitation.
6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but
the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the
wilderness; Selah:
8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: evenSinai itself was moved
at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when
it was weary.
10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
11 The Lord gave the word: great wasthe company of those that published it.
12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be asthe wings of a dove covered with
silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was whiteas snow in Salmon.
15 The hill of God is asthe hill of Bashan; an high hill asthe hill of Bashan.
16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this isthe hill whichGod desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will
dwell in itfor ever.
17 The chariots of God aretwenty thousand, eventhousands of angels: the Lord isamong them,
as inSinai, in the holy place.
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for
men; yea, forthe rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
19 Blessed bethe Lord, whodaily loadeth us with benefits, eventhe God of our salvation. Selah.
20 He that isour God isthe God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belongthe issues from
death.
21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, andthe hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on
still in his trespasses.
22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my peopleagain from the depths
of the sea:
23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thineenemies, andthe tongue of thy dogs in the
same.
